Down in St. James Infirmary,
On the corner, by the square,
On a rainy January,
They brought that baby there.

To my left stood Joe McKinney,
His eyes blood-shot and red,
He held his baby Jenny,
As the docs declared her dead.

'Oh, let'er go, let'er go, God bless'er,
Wherever she may be.
You could search this wide world over,
Won't ever bring'er back, you see?

Two years later, Ol'Joe McKinney
Wound up at my door.
He'd been drinkin', God knows how many,
And collapsed down on my floor.

Joe stood up, sat down beside me,
His eyes were full of dread.
He wanted to confide in me,
And these are the words he said:

The Mouse toils endlessly,
   Beside him toils the Rat,
When they both see suddenly
   The pin-stripe suited Cat.

The Rat is scared and flees the scene,
   His friend, the Mouse, stands stiff,
The Cat, with jaws like guillotines,
   Whispers a little drift.

'Do you know why you toil here?'
   His eyes are granite slits,
'Because the Rat is lazy, dear,'
   He nods and licks his lips.

'Your work is hard, 'cuz his is not,
   It's not so hard to grasp,'
The Cat slinks in, his breath is hot,

I'm not unjust, just not courageous either.
   I saw their vision for the world today;
It was dark, and made my blind soul even blinder.
   In fear, I said I'd like the world that way!

I looked up from beneath their gleaming truncheons,
   And thought I'd judge my new world as I saw.
Looked and saw butchers suited for their functions,
   They asked me if I liked, and I said 'Sure!'

From that moment, my professed opinion
   Was: better cowardly than in one's grave!
To keep from falling under their dominion,

Parasites            Parasites

The little mites will bite the fleas
   That, in-turn, bite the tick,
Who, like those before him,
   Turn out the same old trick.

The tick, once fat and happy,
   Begins to seep out plagues,
And frees a microscopic pest
   To further its malaise.

Human-kind has three such pests
   That bother it like cankers.
As such, we have identified
   The Lawyers, Kings, and Bankers.

You say you're pure as iron,
Free of genetic waste.
I say 'The Sea's impurity
Is noticed in the taste.'

You say your holy story
Tells what is right and wrong.
I say 'How many devils
Have sung that very song?'

You say that they are enemies
And beat them black and blue.

Doesn't mean it's true.'

This is an art website.. Why are we persuading others towards political groups on an art website? I understand the whole free speech thing.. But people come here for the art, not to make up their minds on things like this.

By supporting communism, you insult victims of that hideous regime and their family members, which means you do not consider them as people equal to those of your kind.
